The game fuses multiple phases of combat. Just do not expect a big strategy campaign. Regicide is a brutal take on one of the greatest turn based strategy games of all time. Like the brutality of Warhammer 40,000? Like chess? Then go ahead and commit Regicide. But this all just tops off a game with a clear focus on its presentation.
The audio is surprisingly detailed for what is really just a game of chess, with impeccable music and voice work. The game is simple to learn, but difficult to master and is played across all classes from lowly refresherscrubbers to spire nobility. This makes the executions even more macabre, with graphic animations and amazingly morbid camera angles.
